Durea (Netherlands) is another renowned brand in the country. The factory’s experience goes back to 1913 when it was founded by Gijsbertus van Drunen in the town of Drunen under the name G. van Drunen & Zn & Co. The shoes are sold under various brand names. Durea is the women’s brand, while the men’s shoes are sold under the name Gijs. At the beginning of 2017 this name changed back from Durea to Van Drunen Schoenfabriek.
